• What is Vyke call interception on a BlackBerry?

  Vyke Mobile has been designed to intercept calls made from your handset automatically. You can decide whether you want to route only your international calls over Vyke, or all your calls. If you have decided to intercept only your international calls, Vyke will identify those calls with international format and, instead of making them over your GSM operator, it will set up all of them over the Vyke network.

  Note: When travelling you MUST make sure that Vyke call settings are set to callback instead of callthrough to avoid expensive outbound roaming charges. To change the settings, press the Vyke icon, select 'Settings'>'Call Settings' and amend your preferences accordingly.

• Will my mobile operator charge me when I use Vyke Mobile?

  Generally using Vyke Mobile reduces your operator charges to zero or close to zero for all of your international calling and SMS messages. The exact charge will depend on where you are and which connection method you use to make your call or send a message.

• Why do I need to allow permissions for the event injector and Vyke?

  The even injector permissions on your handset will allow Vyke Mobile to trigger your selected calls over the Vyke network instead of your GSM operator.

• Why do I need to select a data connection?

  When you are on the move and there is no WiFi hotspot available, Vyke Mobile will send a tiny data packet to set up your calls or to send your SMS.

• My handset warns me of "Bad Gateway" or "Wrong Certificate" when trying to use VykeMobile on an Internet Cloud Hotspot.

  Please be advised that before VykeMobile can connect to our systems from an Internet Cloud Hotspot you may need to open a browser session and log on for that particular Cloud. Failure to have a subscription and log on to the Cloud service may result in "Bad Gateway" and "Certificate Error" messages and VykeMobile may not connect.

  Please exit VykeMobile and log on to the Cloud service with a browser before you launch or attempt to use VykeMobile again.

• Do I have my own number where people can call me?

  No. This option is not available yet.

  However, VykeMobile works simultaneously with your own number where you can be called. We only add extra functionality to the existing services offered by your network operator by significantly lowering your international calling costs.
