How does WiFi Calling save me money?
WiFi calling can save you lots of money on your international on your calls whenever you're connected to WiFi, wherever you are in the world. With no roaming fees to worry about you'll save money with WiFi calling whether you're at home calling abroad, abroad calling home or abroad calling another international destination.

How much do WiFi calls cost?
WiFi calls start from just 25¢ (US) per hour to fixed lines and 2¢ (US) per minute to other mobile phones. Our WiFi calling rates are universal too, so no matter where you call from in the world, as long as you're connected to a WiFi your calls will cost exactly the same.

Which WiFi hotspots can I use to make WiFi calls?
You can use any WiFi hotspot you like to make calls with Vyke Mobile. As long as you can connect to the hotspot then you can use Vyke Mobile to make calls. At home, at work or even using a public hotspot, Vyke Mobile will work wherever you connect.

Will my mobile operator charge me for using WiFi Calling?
No. Because you're using your phone's WiFi connection to make your calls there are no charges from your mobile operator when you use WiFi calling.

What about roaming fees when I travel abroad?
There are none. Because you're using your phone's WiFi connection to make your calls there are no roaming fees when you use WiFi calling on our travels.

How does WiFi calling work?
Take a look at the diagram below for a visual guide to how WiFi Calling works.
When your phone is connected to a WiFi hotspot (1) you are able to send your mobile calls via the Vyke network (2) instead of via your regular operator (3). We simply connect your call via the regular telephone network (4) but at our fantastically low rates.

How does Vyke SMS save me money?
Vyke SMS will save you lots of money on your text messages whenever your phone has access to a data connection (WiFi, 3G, GPRS etc.). If you have a WiFi-compatible phone then there are no roaming fees to worry about either and you'll save money with Vyke SMS whether you're at home texting abroad, abroad texting home or abroad texting another international destination.

Vyke SMS messages start from just 6¢ (US) per message and the maximum you'll pay is only 7¢ (US) per message.

Will my mobile operator charge me for using Vyke SMS?
If you are using your phone's WiFi connection then your operator will not charge you for using Vyke SMS. Because you're using your phone's WiFi connection to send your messages operator charges do not apply.
If you are using your phone's data plan (3G, GPRS etc.) to connect to the Vyke Network and you have a data allowance with your mobile operator then you will not be charged by your operator to send Vyke SMS unless you have already used up your entire data allowance for the month.
If you do not have a data allowance with your mobile operator then your operator may charge you a fee when you send a Vyke SMS message.

What about roaming fees when I travel abroad?
If you're using your phone's WiFi connection then there are none. Because you're using your phone's WiFi connection to send your messages roaming fees will not apply when you use Vyke SMS on your travels.
If you are using your phone's data plan (3G, GPRS etc.) to connect to the Vyke Network and you have an international data allowance with your mobile operator then you will not be charged by your operator to send Vyke SMS unless you have already used up your entire international data allowance for the month.
If you do not have an international data allowance with your mobile operator then your operator may charge you a fee when you send a Vyke SMS message whilst travelling abroad. However, Vyke SMS messages use an incredibly small amount of data so the respective fee from your operator should be very small indeed, meaning you'll still save on international text messaging with Vyke SMS.

Which WiFi hotspots can I use to send Vyke SMS?
You can use any WiFi connection you like to send messages with Vyke Mobile. As long as you can connect to the hotspot then you can use Vyke Mobile to send messages. At home, at work or even using a public hotspot, Vyke Mobile will work wherever you connect.

When your phone is able to connect to Vyke via a data connection (WiFi, 3G, GPRS etc.) (1) you are able to send your messages via the Vyke network (2) instead of via the route used by your regular operator (3). Remember, Callthrough connects to a national access number to complete your call so you must have unlimited or bundled fixed line minutes on your mobile plan to save the maximum amount on your international calls.

We're adding new countries to our Callthrough service regularly so check back soon if your home country isn't in the list above.

Will my mobile operator charge me for using Callthrough?
If you have a mobile phone plan with unlimited or bundled national fixed line minutes then your mobile operator will not charge you for using Callthrough, provided that you haven't already used up your entire monthly allowance.
If you do not have unlimited or bundled national fixed line minutes then your operator will charge you the regular per-minute fee for accessing Vyke Mobile's local access number in your country. Please check with your operator for more details.
Callthrough also uses your phone's data connection (3G, GPRS etc.) to talk to the Vyke Network and set up your call. If you have a data allowance with your mobile operator then you will not be charged by your operator to make a Callthrough call unless you have already used up your entire data allowance for the month.

When you select an international contact to call using Callthrough, Vyke Mobile connects to the Vyke Network via your phone's data connection (WiFi, 3G, GPRS etc.) to check your balance and tell us who you want to call (1).
Once the Vyke Network has received this information your phone then connects to the Vyke Network via a local access number (2) and we connect you directly through to the person you wish to call at our fantastically low rates (3).

If you have access to a fixed line phone when you wish to make your calls then Call@ can save you money when calling internationally from your home country, when you're calling home from abroad or from abroad to another international destination, all without the need to connect to a WiFi hotspot.

If you have a local fixed line at your disposal when travelling, you can setup your Call@ call to connect via this number. Because you're using a local number you will avoid all roaming charges on the call, although you may still be charged a roaming fee for setting up the Call@ call using your data plan whilst abroad, unless you have an international data allowance with your mobile operator. Please check with your operator for more details.

How does Call@ work?

Call@ works just like Calback except that when you select an international contact to call using Call@, Vyke Mobile lets you choose which phone number you wish to make your call from (this can be a fixed line for example, instead of your mobile phone number).
Once you have specified the number you wish to call from, your phone connects to the Vyke Network via its data connection (3G, GPRS etc.) to check your balance and tell us who you want to call and which number you want to make the call from (1).
Once the Vyke Network has received this information our system calls you back on the phone number you have specified (2). As soon as you pick up the call from Vyke, we connect you directly to the person you wish to call at our fantastically low rates (3).
